Need to add to history: Herff Ranch, recent developments in Wilson County. To watershed: Spring information.--William S. Saturn (talk) 06:36, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Native American"

[edit]

The article asserts that this is from the Native American word for buffalo. There are hundreds of Native American languages. Which one is meant here? (This is like saying the word was borrowed by the European word for peanut butter). Also a citation is needed for this assertion.Comhreir (talk) 22:18, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a cite; here's a direct link to the online version. It is not clear on which language cibola derives from; Zuñi? Kuru (talk) 00:58, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comments
  • Need to state the country ("United States") in the first sentence.
  • Values need to be converted to metric; use {{convert}}.
  • Flagicons should be kept at a minimum, and should not be used as decoration. Please remove them from the infobox.
  • A lot of the information in "course" seems to be unreferenced.
  • The course description seems a bit vague.
  • It's a bit picky, but the references are supposed to be right after the punctuation—not before—and without spaces.
  • There seems to be an expectancy for both a 'geology' and a 'watershed' section, both of which lack in this article.
  • I cannot find any other quality articles with max size of fish; i fear it is WP:NOTDIRECTORY.. How about instead writing a section about wilderness and recreation along the river, including some prose about fishing. Fish size also have to be converted.

I am placing the article on hold. Arsenikk (talk) 20:50, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article is looking a lot better with some more information, and deserves to be called a good article. Arsenikk (talk) 09:26, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
