Notability
[edit]This website is notable on account of appearing in major publications, and on cable news networks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashwinr (talk • contribs) 2010-08-30 20:02:08
Irony
[edit]The original description states that the site hosts "... articles that ironically highlight perceived excesses of Christian conservatives." There is no incongruity in these articles: they present precisely the bigotry & agenda-driven approach that would be expected of such people, without twist or contradiction. Ironic they ain't. Mrstonky (talk) 08:04, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- To anyone with experience outside the Hollywood depictions of conservative Christians, it is obviously a fake site, with fake bloggers, and fake blog comments. Obviously, many major media outlets mistake it for a genuine site because the only experience they have with conservative Christians is from Hollywood writers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.153.223.84 (talk) 18:01, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
- The difficulty with this website is that, unlike The Onion or Westboro Baptist Church, it is not identified as satire or parody. 24.27.31.170 (talk) 15:24, 23 May 2011 (UTC) Eric
- I wish I wasn't saying this, but Westboro Baptist Church is not satire or parody. They're fools who want to make we Christians look like hate groups. - CharlieBrown25 (talk) 04:56, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Site appears gone
[edit]Following both christwire.org and topekasnews.com leads the user to malicious webpages - multiple uBlock lists block both pages, and Malwarebytes reports Christwire as hosting a Trojan. It appears both sites are gone; what should be done about the citation links?Axslayer33 (talk) 00:06, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
