Many names are purely conventionnal as this one. It may be that the "Centre" were called "Centre" because it is the centre of the way between Charleroi and Mons, in the province of Hainaut but I a am only sure that the "Centre" is the "centre" in Wallonia. That was also the coutry of the surrealism and that is perhaps the reason why this strange appelation is used? José Fontaine (talk) 00:14, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
