Comments from Beannybaby: I would suggest not having a stated "Introduction", just have the information show right underneath the title of the article. I also wondered if there is any information on how it affects humans if ingested, or is there any other way it can affect humans? Besides that it was very informative and well written. Good Job! Comments from Coy Tuner: In the intro you state "generally similiar symptoms in infected plants" I suggest adding differences between CBSV and UCBSV

Under symptoms you briefly make a statement about CMV I suggest adding similarities and differences since it seems like it was kind of random

Lastly, I would discuss what cassava is not just the virus. I appreciate the importance of the virus but i suggest adding something about what it is, why is cassava so important in these regions.

Otherwise great job, exremely informative! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coy Tuner (talkcontribs) 22:42, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Coy Tuner: It is not a bad idea to make more distinction between other viruses. I just figured that because it was about this specific virus, I did not want to confuse.

I will add a bit more about what cassava is, and hyperlink it. I mention it briefly in my economic importance section

Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1Cosmos1 (talkcontribs) 22:55, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Instructor Review

[edit]

Overall this is a very well written article on a notable topic. A few improvements that need to be made: (i) Clean up a few of the references that have strings of capitalized letters in them (ii) Clean up the orphaned in text citations at the bottom of the article. This may involved cutting and pasting the naming of your reference up into the body of the article. (iii) Add one or two sentences on the type of food product that cassava is (starchy root...) and give a few examples of food made from it (tapioca, etc) as well as adding link to the Cassava Wikipedia article in the last paragraph. (iv) Improve the overall structure and grammar of the sections titled "Need for more data" and "Other suggestions". S L Seston (talk) 19:23, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
