Strange Reference

[edit]

I would just like to point out that the 5th reference is somewhat strange, a german one apparently talking about boats on the rhine, rather than the casparian strip (146.107.3.4 (talk) 08:59, 14 April 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Function

[edit]

urm i was just wondering, the article does give a summary of the structure and formation of the Casparian Strip, but there is no mention of the function or use. I don't know why it exists, thats why i was on here, so i was just wondering, does anybody know? 172.201.222.23

The Casparian Strip prevents water from moving around the endodermal cells in their cell wall, so the water is forced into the plasma membrane and and into the cytoplasm. It is also important in the root pressure theory, but I need to revise that bit! Jackacon 09:58, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Origin of the name?

[edit]

Whom or what is it named after? 2A00:23C5:FE0C:2100:1C70:32C3:655E:8834 (talk) 22:08, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lead Section

[edit]

I see that the article has been improved significantly recently and has been nominated for Good Article Review by 夏瑾凉安. One suggestion I wanted to make was to shorten the lead section. As per WP:LEAD, which will be discussed in any review, it would be better to have some of the details sectioned. Bibeyjj (talk) 10:54, 15 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, her is my school IP account, I already notice your comments, I will try to improve the lead and cut it shorter , thank you for your opinion.-203.174.55.94 (talk) 04:58, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hey. There are a few clarification needed tags on the article as well. I think it could do with a bit more copy editing as well. I feel GA nominaion might be too soon. Aircorn (talk) 23:07, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The terms marked by strikethrough were added in these two edits: 1 2

Perhaps autocorrect is to blame for some of them. Existent human being (talk) 09:42, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
