Article name
[edit]wouldnt a simpler and better name for this page be California Coast Ranges? Anlace 07:43, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, after all, that's what they're called, the 'California Coast Ranges,' not the 'Coast Ranges.' I don't know how to do the moves and deletes and all the procedures required, and tend to drown in WikiBureauFog rather easily, so however you go about it, I will strongly support the change.KP Botany 23:26, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- further to that, pls see Talk:Coastal range, which I think should be split up and dab Coast Range be created, with "Coast Ranges" as a redirect to it; "Coast Range(s)" may refer either to this group in California, to its continuation into Oregon (technically the same range(s)) and a neighbouring group in SW Washington, and is also often used for the Coast Mountains in BC/Alaska/Yukon, and also as a synonym for Pacific Coast Ranges; NB Pacific Coast Range singular is AFAIK an official or semi-official name for the Oregon Coast Range and at least some of the California Coast Ranges....Skookum1 (talk) 18:40, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
