The result of the move request was: moved to CAF – Development Bank of Latin America. Clear this is the consensus, I'm just tweaking the hyphen to a dash to make it comply with MOS:DASH. Jenks24 (talk) 14:20, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Corporación Andina de FomentoCAF - development bank of Latin America – CAF does not go by the name “Corporación Andina de Fomento” anymore. Although that is still its legal name, it has been rebranded and does business as CAF – development bank of Latin America - and it is known by the general public by this name. In places other than the title, the wiki article itself uses the name “CAF – development bank of Latin America.”

The original name stems from the fact that the founding members where all countries in the Andes Mountains, but this is no longer the case. Today, CAF operations spread across south and Central America, Mexico, Portugal, and Spain.

According to Wikipedia’s naming convention policies and guidelines, changing the name would improve the article’s title in terms of: • “Recognizability – The title is a name or description of the subject that someone is familiar with, although not necessarily an expert in, the subject area will recognize.” All ad campaigns, press releases, and website use the name CAF-development bank of Latin America.- (www.caf.com) • “Naturalness – The title is one that readers are likely to look or search for and that editors would naturally use to link to the article from other articles. Such titles usually convey what the subject is actually called in English.”As mentioned above, all press releases and references to the institution in articles use the name CAF-development bank of Latin America.

Simply using the name “CAF” would go against Wikipedia’s disambiguation policy, since there are multiple organizations with these initials (i.e. Confederation of African Football), which is why the name CAF – development bank of Latin America- will be a better representation of the institution.
