Burgeranch → Burger Ranch (Israel) — Although the Hebrew spelling of this fast food chain is one word, the English spelling is two words. The current title, Burgeranch, is an English transliteration of the Hebrew name, and not the correct English title. • Support as nom. The English spelling of the Israeli Burger Ranch is two words. The Hebrew spelling is one word. Therefore, the article's name should be Burger Ranch (Israel), not Burgeranch. The only way I'd doubt this is if you can can show me a Burgeranch logo where the store's name is spelled Burgeranch in English. Milchama 18:14, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

• Strong Support - 1) mostly because of ambiguity with Burger Ranch (Portuguese). A lot of people don't have the expertise to know there's a difference on the WP servers. 2) The website uses two words, that's enough (the one word for the URL is unfair, everyone does that - e.g., http://whitehouse.org/). 3) the Portuguses fast food company can be renamed to BR (Portugal). The website is burgeranch.co.il to reflect the Hebrew name, as all domains use the English alphabet. If the CamelCase is the case, (although I personally cannot find the English name on the website), then the name should be BurgerRanch. Milchama 11:50, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Burger Kings in Israel

The article says, "Eventually Burger King Israel went bankrupt." Does this mean that there are no longer Burger Kings in Israel? Jecowa 19:56, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

From what I have found online, in 2003 (that's the latest article I could find [1]), Burger King is/was in bankrupcy in Israel and had multiple bidders for their restaurants. The government rejected offers from McDonalds and Burger Ranch. Not sure how it progressed, though. Milchama 03:33, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Comment, I didn't contest but just added comment. However I would also support Burgeranch (Israeli fast food chain).

This is a tricky one though. Even in Hebrew, while "בורגראנץ'" ("Burgeranch") got "About 3,760 results" in the last year, "בורגר ראנץ'" got "About 1,560 results" in the last year. None the less I suspect that "Burgeranch" may be the more encyclopaedic reference which is also predominantly used by other Wikipedias. I also think that, in the choice of Wikipedia designation, the opinions of people who have more chance of eating there should count. As the photo above suggests, the name they use on signs in the Latin alphabet (English alphabet) is "Burgeranch" (1 'r'). Further, there could be confusion because there is a Portuguese chain called "Burger Ranch" which is, as their website will tell you as soon as you visit it, unaffiliated: "Burger Ranch Portugal has no affiliation to Burger Ranch in Israel. I'm likely to pass near their stand in the next few days, I'll try to take a picture of how they spell their name in English in signs, ads and menus. “WarKosign” 09:20, 25 March 2015 (UTC) Searching for orgad holdings (the parent company) returns a lot of articles on how OH bought Burger King and will convert the branches to Burger Ranch. I thought I should ask. In my own supplementary search I had seen one photo with use of "BURGER" new line "RANCH" but the picture looked like it might have been dated and was not what I remembered. This comment may only be relevant re: history.

I would also encourage frequenters of WP:RM to take this, and the previous RM, as examples of a time where it is relevant to notify the relevant groups in the case of a topic that will be considered neutrally. IMO, notifications on Wikiprojects in cases in which WP:CANVASS will not apply will often help. GregKaye 10:43, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Restoration

I have restored some content to the article, because the content removal did not improve the article and the rationale provided for its removal (wp:not menu) is not a policy or guideline. North America¹⁰⁰⁰ 05:44, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
