Ettore Bugatti is sometimes cited with this expression, but not for the T46, but for the more modern Bugatti Type 57, the first project of his son Jean. The T57 was planned initially with an independent front axle like Buick, but Ettore stopped that in favor of a redesign of his own rigid axle.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 08:43, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
