The Dead Rabbits == Vicious rival Gang! LOL
[edit]in his book "Five Points", Tyler Anbinder asserts that there never was such a gang as the "Dead Rabbits" and provides ample evidence to back it up. 71.125.225.163 03:41, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Mose
[edit]Sorry that I wasn't logged in when I made the edits to the article proper, but here's a bit of elaboration: also known as "Big Mose", the version described in the article is detailed in full in Dorson's America In Legend, although therein the urban legends of this character that followed his eventual disappearance from the stage described him as being as much as twelve feet tall and wielding a lamp-post in one hand during fights. The character is entirely fictional (although there was a real "Moses" on which the original stage character was based, there is no evidence he was related to the later figure described here), and if Asbury describes him as having actually existed, I'd seriously question the value of his work as a reference. See the [B'hoy and g'hal] article for further information.-- so sayeth Lucky Number 49 Yell at me! 17:05, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Democrat connections?
[edit]How is it that this gand was linked to the know-Nothing Party and the Democrats? The Wikipedia Article on the Know Nothing links that party quite explicitly to the Republicans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.128.25.245 (talk) 13:39, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Must mention scorsese film.
[edit]Incomplete w/o it. Irish mob and Connoly entries mention Scorcese Departed.

– "The" isn't sufficient disambiguation between these two. Pageviews are about equal, no primary topic. 162 etc. (talk) 07:07, 3 January 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. -- Aervanath (talk) 15:45, 12 January 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Amakuru (talk) 21:41, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose second move on the films (the article is named for the films, not the characters), keeping consistent with the rest of the Dead End Kids film series: // Dead End Kids // Little Tough Guys // East Side Kids // The Bowery Boys.
Support first move of Bowery Boys → Bowery Boys (gang). Best, --Discographer (talk) 10:36, 3 January 2022 (UTC) - Support the move for Bowery Boys (gang). Oppose the move for The Bowery Boys, as the article is for the film series, not the characters as well as keeping it consistent with the other series listed above by 'Discographer' DonaldD23 talk to me 13:12, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- Comment Do the commenters above have an alternative suggestion for retitling The Bowery Boys? The current title is ambiguous; see Bowery Boys (disambiguation). 162 etc. (talk) 16:41, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose - The Bowery Boys should be moved to The Bowery Boys (series), and then the un-disambiguated name be redirected to Bowery Boys as a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT. The disambiguation page should most likely be deleted per WP:TWODABS and Bowery B'hoy be merged with Bowery Boys. In terms of the historical significance criterion, the gang is the clear victor since the film characters' name was inspired by the gang.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 15:12, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]The two articles Bowery Boys (gang) and Bowery B'hoy seem to be about the same topic (and even use the dsame pictures). I think this will be confusing for readers (and those of us trying to disambiguate) and it would be better to have one article, but I am unsure which title should be used.— Rod talk 11:03, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support merge per nom. The target should "Bowery Boys (gang)", the everyday not the vernacular spelling; see the sources in that article. Narky Blert (alt) (talk) 09:15, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 18:58, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
