Gawr Gura's sidekick

[edit]

The addition to the popular culture section about VTuber Gawr Gura's sidekick was removed as vandalism, but I do not see how it is such. Her sidekick Bloop is clearly named after the subject matter of this article. This becomes evident when she lists option C when she quizzes her friends on him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkbXdXbs8vk&t=2383 The correct answer may have been 'B' ("emergency ration"), but it shows that there is a relevant connection. I did not say it was vandalism. I said it was "non notable". ApLundell (talk) 14:35, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I misread the page history. It was the person who added the pop-culture reference that removed vandalism. Kapten Nordstroem (talk) 22:33, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I need the bloop sound 2601:803:482:C310:69E3:251E:8FF:BF02 (talk) 22:35, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Should there be a more extensive section on cultural relevance?

[edit]

Due to how extremely common "The Bloop" has become as a creature in "internet culture", I feel a larger section on it's usage and the popular depictions of it as a fish with a large mouth is warranted. 79.167.144.73 (talk) 00:59, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is the bloop real? 2A01:799:7D3:E000:6D19:114E:932E:3457 (talk) 19:17, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If there is a secondary source that talks about use in games, films etc, then we can expand on it here. But it is not appropriate to include things that use the bloop if no one else noticed that thing and wrote about it. (secondary source rather than primary use). Read our article to see if it is real, it is a real sound. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:30, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
