Detached part

This parish still has a detached part! I'm not sure if this is the only such parish in England, but certainly the only I know about. Morwen - Talk 08:13, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You are referring to the ecclesiastical entity and that is not uncommon. See http://www.achurchnearyou.com and type St Clement Danes (choose its top entry) in, for example.- Adam37 Talk 14:09, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the civil parish does have a detached part - see the map here. The only other one I'm aware of is Thorpe St Andrew in Norfolk, and that's only because the whole of the River Yare belongs to Norwich. John Womble (talk) 15:27, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
