DYK hooks?

[edit]

As this article is pretty close to DYK length, does anyone have any thoughts on a DYK hook? There are quite a lot of interesting factoids in the article. I'm tempted to suggest "… did you know that Australian judge Betty King once claimed to have had her Wikipedia biography deleted?" but that might be a little cheeky. --Mkativerata (talk) 07:35, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

She may be technologically illiterate, leading her to come to that conclusion erroneously. Absolutely she is notable enough for a Wikipedia entry, and has no right to decide whether this entry will exist. I'll put in a second reference for her claim - she said it outright in a second interview. - Richard Cavell (talk) 05:01, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, there are other instances of high-level involvement in article deletion. WWGB (talk) 05:24, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Associate Judge"

[edit]

Why is Her Honour described as an "associate judge"? She is a Justice of the Supreme Court. The term is linked to "Associate Justice", also a term unknown in Victoria. Avalon (talk) 07:42, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed it seems to have a very particular meaning in the Victorian context that would not apply to King:[1]. --Mkativerata (talk) 07:47, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the term 'Associate Judge' in Victoria means something quite different to what it means in other places. Judge King is not an associate judge. - Richard Cavell (talk) 05:00, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
