Bethal or Bethel?!
[edit]I have seen both spellings.
In his sister's article it says he was also mentioned in Finnegans Wake - "Her brother Bethal Solomons, a renowned physician, master of the rotunda hospital and international rugby player, is mentioned in Finnegans Wake. Her brother Edwin (1879-1964) was a stockbroker and prominent member of the Dublin Jewish community. Her younger sister Sophie was a trained opera singer."--MacRusgail (talk) 14:17, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
1908 Olympics
[edit]I think the winner of the silver medal at the 1908 Olympics is the Cornish player, as Ireland did not have a Rugby team at these games. See The fourth Olympiad:being the official report of the Olympic games of 1908 - "...B. Solomon of Redruth, took the place of Bennetts on the Cornish side..." - The report says Bert, not Bethel - I'll remove it. Hohenloh + 05:10, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
