Neutral point of view and avoiding unsupported claims
[edit]I have replace "can" with "might" and present tense with past tense in a few places. "Can" could be construed as Wikipedia granting permission to carry out this form of punishment, therefore violates NPOV. If present tense is to be used, specific citations should be given supporting the implied claim that this form of punishment is still commonly used and specifying in what parts of the world this occurs. --Coppertwig 21:43, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I see the word 'was' is used alot. In my opinion they should be changed to 'can be' or 'is' where appropiate -- Shippox (talk) 19:52, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Probably written originally by someone who suffered from it... God knows I have. BrickBreak (talk) 01:37, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
"Some nervous parent" isn't even grammatically correct. The last paragraph doesn't have much value especially without any citations. Shigekims (talk) 04:27, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
