Major Deficiencies
[edit]This is terrible. Almost entirely Canadian pov; second and third sentences of second par badly expressed, bad grammar, and hard to understand; "hurricane bombardment" produced by artillery, not tanks. And so on. A Canadian being wounded in a WWI battle is not notable (I hadn't heard of him, but I guessed he would be Canadian). On the basis that people go to Wikipedia for knowledge, and there is very little here, I'm removing the substandard parts. No information is better than bad information in a case like this. When time permits, I'll replace it with something more fitting.
And it makes no sense to point to the (first) Battle of Cambrai (1917) article describing it as "the first major tank offensive" when the article on 1917 explains that it was no such thing. Hengistmate (talk) 23:48, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
Agreed; article is in dire need of expansion due to exclusively Canadian PoV.
Casualties
[edit]One can read this " The attack was an overwhelming success with light casualties in an extremely short amount of time. " and at the same time it is said that Allies suffered 12,000 and German Empire 10,000. Are these really considered as light casualties or is there something wrong somewhere ? --Delio (talk) 14:56, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
I believe that is 10,000 prisoners taken according to other sources; the actual German death figures are not recorded but believed to be extensive.
