Singh source removed

[edit]

Per this, "The Sikhs in History appears to be published by Sangat Singh, who is also the author. To make matters worse, we were linking to a PDF of this apparently self-published source hosted by a website of dubious integrity & thus possibly to a copyright violation. I have removed it pending clarification regarding the status both of the book and its author. - Sitush (talk) 12:02, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Just for your information website who hosted is an organization in USA who work for Sikh welfare and holds the Sikh point of view. Dr. Sangat Singh, Sikh philosopher, member of Joint Intelligence Committee India, wrote "The Sikhs in History", book is published with ISBN-10: 0964755505 & ISBN-13: 978-0964755505.Released in New York , two version in english language are available and Punjabi version of the book will be out soon.(I am yet not confirmed about the publisher). Both Book & author are widely accepted in the Sikh community[1] --Dilpreet Singh (talk) 14:18, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting

[edit]

Gandhi's column in Young India in the source quoted does seem to imply that saffron was included in the flag because of Sikh concerns. Unfortunately, he doesn't say so outright. I wonder if a good source can be found for this? --regentspark (comment) 15:06, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the history during freedom struggle in 1930 to know more about the continual events and response. some resources know to me:
  1. "THE_SIKHS_IN_HISTORY"
  2. GD Tendulka ,VOL 3
  3. Flag Session Debate
