[edit]User The-Pope raised this question in Edit summary. My first impression was "This is overkill", then I noticed that this editor (Blackhole77) has created a number of similar articles. One of note (for the same reason) that I picked out was English cricket team in Scotland in 2010 - again a single ODI - and not a very long trip. I guess that it is still international cricket. It's hard to put these results elsewhere since they are not part of any ongoing competition such as the Association Football World Cup.
These are just thoughts wandering though my brain as I compose this note. No strong conclusion either way. Still thinking about it all. HiLo48 (talk) 11:45, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
The match itself was of relatively little importance as a cricket match per se, as such matches often are. I would argue however that it still constitutes an international tour consisting of ODI's, albeit only one of them, is an official part of the future tours programme, and is notable in the context of Cricket Ireland's continued efforts at elevation. It's therefore a useful, if relatively minor, part of the top tier historical record of cricket in that year, and since we record all such international cricket on a season by season basis, it ought to be here.

- Upon reflection over time, I agree. HiLo48 (talk) 19:37, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
