Removal of 'unsourced section' tag

[edit]

Hi 216.68.58.137 I added this tag yesterday, and you didn't fix the problem before removing it, so I've added it back. Let's talk. valereee (talk) 14:46, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also concerned that this entire section looks to have been copied/pasted from the restaurant's website here. Pinging Bigcurl254 and 74.215.3.165 as I'm thinking this might be the same new SPA editor good-faith editing logged in and out, as the edit history seems to show these editors making similar additions closely following one another and only to this article. valereee (talk) 15:04, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like a copy and paste job, but I'm not sure copying a list of awards is WP:COPYVIO? It certainly needs refs, ideally back to the source of the award rather than just a block reference to the restaurants website. The list overpowers the rest of the article. Perhaps it needs trimming back to just the 'National' awards? --John B123 (talk) 17:59, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
John B123 Yeah, that was why I didn't drop a copyright vio tag on the section...it's not like you could reasonably list awards much differently. Agree with the idea that with so many awards, perhaps the most important should be used. The National ones, plus maybe the major locals? valereee (talk) 19:38, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee: Perhaps only having winners in the local awards rather than 'Top 3', 'finalist' etc would be enough? Adding columns would also shorten this section. --John B123 (talk) 19:48, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@John B123: I've remoeved the 'top 3' and 'top 10' but I tend to break columns -- can you help? valereee (talk) 19:59, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee: Well done, I'll have a look at the columns. --John B123 (talk) 20:04, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Adding 74.215.1.86 to pings, though it seems like maybe this is just a dynamic IP we're dealing with valereee (talk) 19:06, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Unreferenced section template again removed by 74.215.1.86 today --John B123 (talk) 22:20, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've requested semi-protection, maybe that'll force them to log in again and they'll see the tags. valereee (talk) 10:12, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Update: semi was declined, so if the IP reverts again we may want to ask for it to be blocked. valereee (talk) 19:00, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It seems to be the luck of the draw who looks at the protection request. In similar circumstances I've had them declined with the advice 'leave a message on their talk page' even though it's an IP that's causing the problem. On another occasion the admin protected the page and then left me a message on my talk page that the protection had been added. --John B123 (talk) 20:02, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
