the name is comming from osmanik trough greak and it is

arvanit>arvanid> arnaud>arnaut which mean albanian maybe *arbresh

another tought: "wald" in german mean forest: "The word "Wald" (already in Old High German it was called "wald") seems to come from the Proto - Germanic word "walpu" ( this means "fascicle" , in this case "leafage", "branches").
