This is the preliminary draft, I'm getting resources as quickly as I can. Just give me time to put them on the article. Alex Holowczak 14:24, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Help with this
[edit]How exactly do I put sources onto it? I know all of this stuff is true, because I use the site, but I have no idea how to verify everything. Can a user assist me with this? (I don't think this should be deleted because it is a true article about the site. There is no opinion at all. However, I don't know where to find sources at the moment, other than off the site itself - please give me a moment to find them.) Alex Holowczak 14:30, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Firstly, find out what a reliable source is and then see if you can find any by searching for newspapers and similar sources who have written about this site. It might be better to merge this with Wikia since there are a lot of sources from mainstream newspapers about the new Magazine-style wikis (local, politics, and entertainment) which developed from ArmchairGM. - This article has no images. Please see if there are any free use images that fall under the Wikipedia:Image use policy and fit under one of the Wikipedia:Image copyright tags that can be uploaded. - This article is a bit too short, and therefore may not be as comprehensive as WP:WIAFA critera 1(b) is looking for. Please see if anything can be expanded upon.[?]
- Watch for redundancies that make the article too wordy instead of being crisp and concise. (You may wish to try Tony1's redundancy exercises.)
- Vague terms of size often are unnecessary and redundant - “some”, “a variety/number/majority of”, “several”, “a few”, “many”, “any”, and “all”. For example, “
Allpigs are pink, so we thought ofa number ofways to turn them green.”
- Vague terms of size often are unnecessary and redundant - “some”, “a variety/number/majority of”, “several”, “a few”, “many”, “any”, and “all”. For example, “
- As done in WP:FOOTNOTE, footnotes usually are located right after a punctuation mark (as recommended by the CMS, but not mandatory), such that there is no space in between. For example, the sun is larger than the moon [2]. is usually written as the sun is larger than the moon.[2][?]
- Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a.[?]
