[edit]I have dropped the bit about CD sales dropping, as no source is provided and statements both for and against appear with equal prominence and frequency. Kurt Weber 23:27, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion
[edit]Someone needs to fix the issues with it, including the entertainment industry propaganda use of "piracy." On Wikipedia's Piracy article copyright is mentioned nary once. Otherwise delete it.
God knows I'm not gonna waste my time rewriting another article to get the POV crap cleaned up. !!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.153.253.24 (talk) 03:08, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- This article isn't eligible for speedy deletion. CSD is only intended for a narrow sub-section of articles with obvious, unrepairable flaws (notability, copyright, vandalism, etc.), not for articles which merely have "issues". --Bongwarrior (talk) 07:41, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- This article is a prime example of Orwellian "Newspeak." Its use of language that is deliberately ambiguous and contradictory, used to mislead and manipulate the public, is unbecoming of any factual information infrastructure or discussion. 63.153.253.24 (talk) 08:34, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- The repeated reinstatement of the speedy deletion tag is becoming disruptive. Speedy deletion is only for pages that come under the criteria listed at WP:CSD. If you think that this should be deleted the procedure to follow is described at WP:AFD. Phil Bridger (talk) 21:40, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- Why? So you can do the same thing there? I'll just let the spin stay there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.153.253.24 (talk) 00:10, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- Because outside the strict criteria listed at WP:CSD decisions about deletion are made by consensus resulting from discussion. Phil Bridger (talk) 07:15, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
