Performance Order #.

[edit]

Please do not remove this. I integrated this into the charts very successfully last season. (This applies to all of the Top 12 contenders.) It is factual information, in that it is an indisputable order in which the contestant performed on that particular night. And it is relevant to anyone doing a review or synopsis of the show who wants to analyze statistics and such. (Notice how all 3 who performed last on their respective nights made the Top 12.) It is an especially good record one they all perform on the same night. Thank you.--Cinemaniac86Oy_gevalt. 16:03, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wasn't he in the bottom 2 with Jorge?"

[edit]

It says he was safe? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Garynine (talkcontribs) 18:01, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They were not specified as being in the bottom, one of them was just going home. Gage (talk) 23:38, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

First off let me say I was a fan of Anoop and sad to see him go. That being said, I thought, according to WP:SINGLEEVENT, someone known only for one event shouldn't get a specific article, but only a part of the article on the event. I have seen different people's articles disputed and even deleted based on this. I was just wondering how Anoop has an article in regards to that rule. I haven't kept up with the article, so this may have already been discussed. Also, I thought one of the solutions was to redirect to the main article. This discussion page says that the article was nominated for deletion and result was to redirect to the main article for the 8th season. If that is what is displayed on the talk page, why isn't the article redirected? I am not proposing to delete the I am just wondering the rationale. Thanks. Oh and that comment could apply to the other contestant pages too. I wasn't trying to single him out, his was just the first I came across. Brinkley32 (talk) 04:03, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Since he gained fame from American Idol, and now is an independant artist appearing on television and having released an album, he is notable. --Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 15:37, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dating Megan Joy?

[edit]

I keep seeing references to the alleged relationship between Desai and Joy popping in and out of the article. Has there been a previous discussion about this, or am I just watching an edit war? — Bdb484 (talk) 04:26, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There has not been discussion about it and yes this seems to be an long, drawn edit war when anon editors keep removing both the reliably sourced allegation and the reliably sourced denial. There could be a consensus here to remove the information, but currently there are no explanations for the deletion of reliably sourced information.
