[edit]It is difficult for me to be certain if this article is being considered as contentious or just a note of caution to editors that it not be contentious. As it presently stands, I don't think that it is contentious. The quotes all come from the public ICAO transcripts of the military communications of the shootdown or from publically aknowledged by Kornukov himself interviews. He has gone on record about these particular points of his participation of the shootdown and it is printed in a number of formats and in a number of places. I have sourced one of them as the Los Angeles Times. But the New York Times sames the same thing in almost the exact wordingBert Schlossberg (talk) 19:21, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
