Name of Album

[edit]

The title of the album was inspired by Eric Woolfson's visit to Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) in Billingham, England, where the first thing he saw was a street with miles of pipes, no people, no trees and a sign that read 'Ammonia Avenue'.

It was Wilton, actually. And to be fair, it wasn't a "street" as such, it was one of the service roads on the ICI production site, which rather than being called "Service Road 1" "Service Road 2" etc, they were named after the type of product being produced next to them, in this particular case, ammonia. It is hardly surprising that there were no people or trees - the only people there would be ICI production workers, who would be working inside the control rooms, and you don't normally see trees growing in the middle of a chemical plant! Its not like it was a town that had been taken over by an evil chemicals company who had removed all the people and trees!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.73.165.168 (talk) 14:53, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
