Just...yeah. lol —Preceding unsigned comment added by Haylium (talkcontribs) 16:18, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Lovecraftian horror"?

[edit]

The article says this is a Lovecraftian horror movie... this seems like a bit of a stretch.

Is there any indication that the filmmakers were influenced by Lovecraft? Some press articles seem to make the assumption, but "Lovecraftian" means more than just "the monster's got tentacles". In fact the Lovecraftian horror article on wikipedia gives a pretty good run down of all the major themes in Lovecraft's work, and none of them is an especially good fit for this movie. This movie has some themes and plot elements that actually seem to be contrary to ideas in Lovecraftian horror. The MOST that can be said is that the creature design might be influenced by Lovecraftian creatures... but even then it's not especially close. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.222.177.167 (talk) 22:55, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Needs a rewrite

[edit]

The plot section is waaaaay too long and detailed and there has to be a general cleanup throughout as most/if not all the reference sources are from blogs and other unreliable sourcing. Comments? FWiW Bzuk (talk) 03:11, 7 November 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Reviews And Other Suggestions

[edit]

I was wondering if someone could take a look at the edits created on the Reception section and discuss whether these sources are reliable and there is no original content. I think that I have given a balanced approach but still, need some advice on whether I could add more reviews or sources. I also believe that a greater elaboration on the "Release" section needs to be examined.
