Smart way to manage reputation
[edit]This article is a classic example of how a person who is being investigated for insider trading (a single event case) getting his reputation build up at Wikipedia. If there has been a bit of neutrality involved, entity's current involvement in insider trading could had been expanded further and the statement for defence would had been much more realistic. Alas, that doesn't seems to be the case. - Hatchens (talk) 18:37, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- At least a 1/3 of references mention his insider trading. If you want to elaborate on the insider trading part further, you should do that. CSDing or Afding others works based on your assumptions and not on proper policies is just destructive.- The9Man (Talk) 19:15, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- The9Man, Agreed 1/3rd of the citations is about Insider Trading but only one sentance is talking about it. Rest is all about his glory and achievements. I can understand... there is nothing much to add because it's based on "Single Event". The recent addition from your end is quite negligible and doesn't make any sense out of it. Kindly take sometime out and build up the page. - Hatchens (talk) 04:03, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- I have given my reply to this in the Alshair Fiyaz's AfD discussion. - The9Man (Talk) 19:22, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

Pinging Bradv and DGG, just after a month from the date of AfD closure, the negative narrative of the entity had been duly removed by Debmos71, a WP:SPA. It's back to square i.e., The9Man edit level. This whole page building and protecting... is nothing more or less than changing the public perception. We need a robust methodology to counter such activities on Wikipedia. -Hatchens (talk) 09:12, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
- I have made some preliminary comments; but the purpose of WP is not to bring people to justice. DGG ( talk ) 10:51, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you DGG. I agree with your statement. But, it should not be used to whitewash one's bad deeds and propagate false narrative either. Ofcourse, as an editor one has to tread wisely and calmly... that's what I've learnt in past few months. -Hatchens (talk) 00:40, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
