Unclear

it is as yet unclear how this is supposed to be different in scope from the European National Front, seeing that both groups include neo-fascist "traditionalist" (Evolanian) currents. My suspicion is that the two groups reflect divisions among ultra-nationalist groups in Europe that cannot get along because of local politics. If National Front (Belgium) is in the "Alliance" you can expect Vlaams Belang to join the "Front", etc. --dab (𒁳) 10:47, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

It surprises me a little, how can we form an opinion (whether these groups be radical nationalist, far-right or whatever) on the Aliiance without a copy of this nine-point declaration that these people signed in order to form this alliance? Surely this is something the wikipedia article should include?... I have seen much reporting on this event, but can't for the life of me find a list of these common principles. Does anyone know where/how to find them? Tedhovis (talk) 11:19, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Declaration found and included, in addition to more accurate and referenced chronolgy. Tedhovis (talk) 03:05, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

We can form an opinion based on the well-known nature of the individual member organization. If a number of far-right, neo-fascist, xenophobic, anti-semitic national organizations form a European alliance, the character of the member organizations is necessarily going to be reflected in the character of the alliance. --dab (𒁳) 09:40, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

"We can form an opinion based on the well-known nature of the individual member organization." - Surely opinion formation is speculative guesswork not referenced factual material?
"If a number of far-right, neo-fascist, xenophobic, anti-semitic national organizations form a European alliance." - While mightn't an argument be made that this is your asserted POV?
Or have I misunderstood you? Please forgive me if I have. If you'd wish to include references to these assertions and a critique then I would enthusiastically encourage you to do so in the article. But at an article's such early stages - and given its extrme brevity otherwise - it seems churlish in the extreme to remove one of the few pieces of detailed information about this party that actually exists (and that I might add was very difficult to track down), that isn't a news media opinion piece.93.97.53.250 (talk) 09:58, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" was not expelled from Alliance of European National Movements

Not only did Svoboda itself denied it was expelled from AENM I also could find no conformation of that story on Ukrayinska Pravda and let alone on an English lingua franca website. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 17:50, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

The latest AENM press release says: "The members of the European Alliance of National Movements, which gathers political organizations from France, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal, Belgium (Wallonia and Flanders), hold their Congress in the presence of observers from Japan in Hédervár, Hungary." Ukraine is not mentioned, hence Svoboda has been excluded from the Alliance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.113.252.185 (talk) 21:06, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

According to Bruno Gollnisch, the AENM consists of four parties: Jobbik (Hungary), Fiamma Tricolore (Italy), British National Party (UK), and National Democratic Party (Bulgaria). There are also 10 associate members (not parties): Bruno Gollnisch (France), Jean-Marie Le Pen (France), Bela Kovacs (Hungary), Nick Griffin (UK), Andrew Brons (UK), Dimitar Stoyanov (Bulgaria), Maurizio Lupi (Italy), Christian Verougstraete (Belgium), Bartosz Jozef Kownacki (Poland), Dailis Alfonsas Barakauskas (Lithuania). The Ukrainian Svoboda party is NOT a member of the AENM, stop adding it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.47.214.222 (talk) 12:46, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

Indeed "Svoboda" was not expelled from Alliance of European National Movements... because it was never a member but an observer. A 24-01-2013 statement of the Alliance, the text of which has BBC Ukraine says they will remain them observers status. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 17:17, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
