[edit]This is just a thought, but wouldn't it make more sense for the church notes and something from here and here were to be included in this article, saving the need for two sub articles perhaps? I am sure, too, there is much more can be said about the civil parish, which is more than just the village itself Peter Shearan 12:06, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Does anyone know what the conical structure as illustrated in the car Park is? I was in Alfriston today and it intrigued me.
Comments
[edit]I see that nothing has happened since I wrote the note above twenty months ago! Considering the amount of information contained in the references, it is a pretty poor effort, this article. And the answer to the question above is contained within the pic info, and should have been included Peter Shearan (talk) 07:00, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Rewrite
[edit]It was a pity that, although it looks as though more information had been included, it had been lifted from the website and another editor cut it out: which meant that half the facts about Alfriston were lost. The article was very sletchy anyway, especially since as I remarked above, there was so much to say. Peter Shearan (talk) 11:30, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Merge with Litlington
[edit]In accordance with Wikipedia:WikiProject_UK_geography/How_to_write_about_settlements one of the recommendations is that, in order to reduce the number of stubs, villages and other settlements within a civil parish should be in one article. Hence I am recommending the merge. MortimerCat (talk) 23:08, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Chalk horse on Hindover Hill?
[edit]The computer game Pimania had a prize that was given out as stated at a chalk horse on hindover hill, near litlington. Is there a chalk horse - I see no mention of it in article and should be included if so? LeeVJ (talk) 23:47, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
