Mistaken Identity?

[edit]

I suddenly realize that though I know Brandon identified himself as Sandman to KFMF,

there was also another MOD composer named Sandman, whose real name was "Bjorn K." That guy's music appears to be here:

http://www.modarchive.com/artists/sandman/

But even so, their musical styles appear very similar at certain points.....

I honestly don't know if they're the same or different people.

Can anybody clear this up for me? --Zaorish 06:00, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alex used the handle "Sandman" for a short period in 1996, before changing it to "Siren". Any music newer than that is likely from a different Sandman. --Vossanova 20:34, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nicknames

[edit]

Of course Bjorn K. is a different musician. I know that Sandman name is widely used, there is also another Sandman in Russia AFAIK.

Alex's names:

  • first: Chromatic Dragon, 1995;
  • next: Siren, end of 1995;
  • next: Sandman, middle of 1996, dirung KFMF;
  • next: Siren again, 1996;

I copied the above info to the article, hope it's OK. --AlexT12 19:03, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Information to be added to the article

[edit]

I also got the chance to ask him some questions about the Unreal/UT composing process, so I'll have a link soon for that. ZeaLitY [ DREAM - REFLECT ] 11:24, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Contact information?

[edit]

I'm looking to get in touch with Alexander Brandon artist to ask his permission to use some of his music for an entry into the Stepmix competition at Stepmania.com (http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/StepMix_5_Contest) but his website does not have any way to contact him. Does anyone know a way to get in touch with Mr. Brandon? Boct1584 (talk) 14:56, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Full date of birth

[edit]

According to http://ocremix.org/info/Composer_Interview:_Alexander_Brandon, he was born on September 29th, 1974. There's also a image of him, let someone upload it here (I don't know yet how). 212.62.54.137 (talk) 02:05, 4 July 2011 (UTC) Ivan from Krusevac, Serbia[reply]

Thanks. As of that image, it might be copyrighted, so we can't upload it here unless we are sure it is free. --Λeternus (talk) 07:32, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Additional interview found

[edit]

I found an additional interview on Square Enix Music Online: https://www.squareenixmusic.com/features/interviews/alexanderbrandon.shtml

This particular interview is of interest to me as it contains much of the extremely sparse information about the AtmosphereS collection. NexusXe (talk) 06:13, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
