This article contains a translation of Schloss Ahlden from de.wikipedia. (345110894 et seq.) |
Name
[edit]I've called this Ahlden House because it's a country house and that's what they're usually called in English. It's definitely not a castle, for which the usual German word is Burg not Schloss. A schloss can be a palace, a stately home or country house. Sometimes they are referred to as "Foo Castle" because they were converted from a Burg and the name has stuck. --Bermicourt (talk) 11:58, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
