Hi,

According to Wikipedia:BIO#Additional_criteria: "A person is generally notable if they meet any of the following standards...."

  • BIO#Basic_criteria: "A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of published secondary source material" - Rabbi Pfeuffer played some role in the History of South African Jewry: see for example "Community and Conscience: The Jews in Apartheid South Africa" ISBN 1584653299
  • Wikipedia:BIO#Creative_professionals: "The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by their peers or successors." - This criterion is more important here: Rabbi Pfeuffer is notbale for his contribution to the literature on Kashrut: his work is widely cited - a simple Google search should confrim this (in fact his Book even has an English language "spin off"...)

Hope that's sufficient
