Dubious claims

[edit]

This seems like utter nonsense. Elizabeth Etchingham: her mother and father are both born ca. 1424, so let's be generous and say that she was born in 1440, when her parents were 16. She died in 1452. So at most she was 12 years old at the time of her death, probably younger. This is reflected in the diminutive size of her image on that brass plaque. On the other hand, we don't have the birth date of Agnes, but her brother Goddard Oxenbridge was born in the 1470s. Even if there were 30(!) years between brother and sister, that would still give Agnes a birth date in the 1440s, i.e. she as well was at the very, very most 12 years old when Elizabeth died. Making all speculation 500 years later about lesbian relationships rather ridiculous. Fram (talk) 13:26, 2 February 2018 (UTC) Fram (talk) 13:26, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
