Fan reception
[edit]Hi @Adamstom.97,
You've reverted one of my edits and reinstated the bit about fans liking Agent Carter. I'm more familiar with articles related to video game (see WP:VG); there, we consider user reception not notable, unless it is mentioned by reliable, independent third-party sources. I'm probably looking over it, but I can't spot the bit about fans liking it. Would you agree that it might need to be rephrased? A fan is someone who likes something, right? So this reads as "people who like Agent Carter, like Agent Carter. Maybe change it to viewers? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 05:28, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure that is in reference to the first line of the reception section, which says the short was well received by the Comic Con audience. I feel that is more notable than usual given the smaller amount of reception to the short (not like one of the films, which have hundreds of critics responding to them). - adamstom97 (talk) 05:31, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hm, I see. I'm not convinced that it is important enough to be mentioned in the lead though. After all, the audience at that venue was probably rather small. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 07:47, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
- The audience was during Comic-Con, which is admittedly a small portion of viewers, but still quite large. How about the sentence is rephrased as follows (or similarly): "The short was released on the home media release of Iron Man 3, and was received positively by critics and the audience from an earlier screening at Comic-Con." The goal is to have wording similar to that used in the reception section, because Comic-Con audiences are not all fans, as media is also generally in attendance. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:55, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

- Hi @Adamstom.97 and Favre1fan93, I just came across this discussion again, sorry about that. How do you feel, adamstom97, about Favre1fan93's proposal? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 09:46, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- I think I would be fine with that. - adamstom97 (talk) 19:12, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
