[edit]OK this is nuts. Is there a pissing contest going on about where African Lion Safari is? The mailing address is RR#1 Cambridge, but that doesn't mean it is in Cambridge. The Cambridge office appears to be an administrative office for the park, from what I can surmise. You want to look exactly, punch in 44.338 latitude and -80.175 longitude in your favourite map program (or go here: Google Map of African Lion Safari). Its near (but 10+ kms outside) Cambridge, a 37 km drive to Hamilton, and the nearest town from what I recall is actually Rockton, Ontario. It isn't "IN" any town or city and what municipal jurisdiction it falls under is not part of the scope of the article at this time. Lets just stop being stupid about this OK? Simple research could have led any of you to this information.--CokeBear 18:16, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- It's in the City of Hamilton and has been ever since Hamilton-Wentworth Region was amalgamated into the City of Hamilton five years ago. I guess your "research" was a little too simple. --216.16.229.90 16:47, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Even Google Maps shows that Cooper Road (the main entrance to the Safari) is located in Cambridge ON. 1386 Cooper Rd N1R5S2. You can even cross reference this on Wiki itself that all N1R postal codes belong to Cambridge here: http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/List_of_postal_codes_of_Canada:_N Kav2001c (talk) 19:18, 12 November 2021 (UTC)kav2001c
Misfortune
[edit]I was unable to find any evidence of David Balac and Jennifer Cowles having sued each other (each alleging responsibility of the other). Indeed, the lawsuit listed makes no mention of that, and dubiously states as fact that the windows were accidentally lowered by Balac as a result of the jolt of an initial tiger attack on the car's exterior. Anyway, if you can find a reference, feel free to add that fact. Cheers! -Etafly 04:17, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- Um, yeah 2 things. Did you even read the case? It is captioned (straight from the canlii link in the article):
B E T W E E N: JENNIFER-ANNE COWLES, JESSE COWLES, a minor by his Litigation Guardian, Jennifer-Anne Cowles, QUINTON COWLES, a minor by his Litigation Guardian, Jennifer-Anne Cowles and ANNE KELLY Plaintiffs - and - DAVID BALAC, RANKO BALAC and THE AFRICAN LION SAFARI & GAME FARM LTD. Defendants
- Which to me says, Cowles did indeed sue Balac. Pretty obvious. Second, the court ruled -as a matter of fact- that "the windows were accidentally lowered by Balac" - so it isn't "dubious" as far as the Supreme Court was concerned. I think their opinion carries a bit more wieght than yours. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.165.165.136 (talk) 13:27, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Requesting Edit
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello Wikipedia Editors,
We are looking to have more information added to our Wikipedia page about all of the incredible conservation efforts that the park has, and continues to make, towards many endangered species, both in-situ and ex-situ.
We would like to see a Conservation section and an Awards section added to share some of this information.
Canada's Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA) recently announced that African Lion Safari won in two categories for our Asian elephant conservation program at their 2021 Industry Awards of Excellence.
We are happy to provide any information you may require.
- Hi, I think you have some good ideas for additional content. Specifically what change would you like to see made to the article? I recommend having a line for "Current line", a line for "Proposed change" (recommend limiting it to a sentence or paragraph at a time for easier review), and rationale for the change (like you described above). Second, I recommend including a formatted reference (review WP:CITE for how to do this), using a reliable source. For example, a news article from a reputable source is strongly preferred, rather than the company website itself. I also recommend using a template like {{cite news}} or {{cite web}} so that you have all the key info in the reference, such as title, publisher, access date, author, etc (click on the links for the different fields). I have marked this request as answered for now, but once you have a specific proposed change with references, remove the "|A" from {{request edit}} above and an editor will come review the proposed change.
