Fair use rationale for Image:Octoberfall.JPG
[edit]Image:Octoberfall.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Duplicate
[edit]Une Saison en Enfer is a duplicate of this article. RobertM525 (talk) 07:34, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Yep, only it's missing the sections on what the work is actually about. I say scrap that one, its more well-known as "a season in hell" to english speakers anyways, I'm guessing. The separate page may have arisen from the disambiguation page linking both names. I think I'll fix that now.Clockwrist (talk) 22:32, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Popular Culture
[edit]This poem was mentioned in a recent novel (2011) - I added the reference in popular culture, and someone deleted it. I've tried to explain in the text why this is a notable work - it plays a really prominent role in the book, and the book was named as one of the best of 2011 by Kirkus Reviews, which is the major publishing industry magazine. This should I hope explain why this is a notable reference - if anyone disagrees, please respond to this post and discuss it with me, instead of just deleting it. Thanks.

Is no one going to mention Bob Dylan? His multiple allusions and direct naming of Rimbaud? The influence of Rimbaud on Dylan's work? Jeebus. I guess this is a starter article.23.242.84.163 (talk) 06:28, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
Popular culture section removed January 2014
[edit]The popular culture trivia/cruft section is twice the size of the real content of the article (which lacks in content about Rimbaud's poetry) and yet it says nothing about the subject. It only says nonsense along the lines of a random list of "someone called their book "Season in Hell" too--which is entirely unencyclopaedic. The section was removed in accordance with MOS:TRIVIA, WP:HTRIVIA, WP:IPC, and WP:INDISCRIMINATE. This material offers nothing that explains or discusses Rimbaud's work.--ColonelHenry (talk) 00:30, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- The section is currently in the article but it should probably be mentioned here that this user was blocked for SP and this user and at least one of the socks edited this see edit summaries where confirmed SP agree with self about this.TeeVeeed (talk) 00:11, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
Article in large parts inaccurate
[edit]Unfortunately this article is in large parts flawed and inaccurate concerning the contents and the interpretation of Rimbaud's text. Friedhelm, Germany --79.228.41.20 (talk) 13:51, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
