Unnecessary subsection about fan interference in Game 2 between LAD vs. SD

[edit]

Hello. I added that subsection in Game 2 of the 2024 NLDS between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres about fan interference on the field that they threw objects on the field during the bottom of the seventh, apparently thrown at Jurickson Profar after he caught Mookie Betts' fly ball at the left field wall in the bottom of the first, which caused a rough 12-minute delay on the field. However, when I saw this edit here, is it unnecessary to include that subsection that there was an on-field delay due to fan interference with some audience members throwing objects on the field? @Spanneraol, shouldn't that information be included in that game section when you removed it?

Sources that shown proof of fan interference on the field:

First it was not "fan interference" as the fans did not affect the outcome of the game or interfere with a ball in play. There was a brief delay because fans and Profar got into an altercation... it was not directly after Profar caught Betts ball but several innings later as Profar continued to antagonize the fans in that section with his antics...Also, it was not "between pitches" as the incident occurred prior to the start of the bottom of the seventh. It could be noted briefly but it is undue to give it a whole subsection. Spanneraol (talk) 15:57, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
