Top 32 seeds

[edit]

@AmethystZhou: Where did the seed numbers come from? I'm sure they're correct from the rankings, but snooker.org does not have them, and his bracket page is currently blank.  Alan  (talk) 11:49, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I did use the rankings, the only difference is that Anthony McGill is not in the tournament so it's actually the top 33. I'll put in the reference once there's a better source. I actually don't know where snooker.org got the bracket from, since the WST draw page only had the qualifier draw. AmethystZhou (talk) 19:17, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@AmethystZhou: snooker.org now has the seeds, and you got them right, and the bracket page has been updated.  Alan  (talk) 11:32, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Thank you for checking. AmethystZhou (talk) 14:18, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not available in the United States

[edit]

Contrary to what your article says, matchroom.live is not making this tournament available to its U.S. subscribers. As you can see here, assuming you are in the U.S., the next event available here is the Welsh Open. https://matchroom.live/events 2601:18C:4080:3E90:4D48:A26E:8DFA:31AC (talk) 09:12, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seed numbers lost after 1st round?

[edit]

Why are seeding numbers not shown against player names from the second round onwards? The Wiki pages for previous years of this tournament, and virtually all other tournaments, show the seeding numbers in all rounds. Please can we retain a consistent format to previous years? Consistency is not paramount. What we should be doing is what's best for our readers. That's what we need to decide. Personally I 'm with you on this one. I think it's useful information and takes up little space. Nigej (talk) 09:09, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
