English quality?

[edit]

this page has a laughable amount of grammatical errors Filip Rebro (talk) 10:31, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I really hope someone else could translate or correct errors instead of just me. there is already some IP user help me adding links and correct errors.QiuLiming1 (talk) 14:20, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Filip Rebro: Hardly constructive feedback when another editor has been working tirelessly to translate an article to keep it up to date from another language. Grammar is always fixable. Arcahaeoindris (talk) 09:57, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
While appreciating the efforts of QiuLiming1, I'm not sure this page needs to be mostly based on translation -- it feels like the topic has been covered sufficently in english language sources that those should be where the bulk of the content comes from (as per Verifiability Non-English sources). I feel like government source are required because it is the most accurate, other sources, for example, CNN and BBC, is often interpreted as "Chinese Negative News" by native people. QiuLiming1 (talk) 22:47, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

”Chinese leader Xi Jinping's zero-COVID policy“

[edit]

I think it is a bit biased. China's policy is called "dynamic zero policy" which it does not require all people to test negative, although it is similar. Also, I don't know if Xi actually invented zero policy. QiuLiming1 (talk) 14:58, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, not sure it is fair to call it his policy specifically. Also, it would be really helpful @QiuLiming11: or another Chinese-speaking editor could add the Chinese name of the policy to to Chinese government response to COVID-19#Zero-COVID policy or Zero COVID, that would be cool. Have added what I think is the right term to those :) Arcahaeoindris (talk) 16:19, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unclear citation style? What?

[edit]

Tokisaki Kurumi, I am pretty sure the whole article uses Citation Style 1 with no shortening. What is really needed is a bunch of |trans-title=.Artoria2e5 🌉 02:59, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Artoria2e5:When I added this template, the format was even worse than now. At present it seems have improved a lot, while it still consists many citations that do not have its website name/newspaper name, not to mention the question of adding |trans-title= and |trans-quote=.--ときさき くるみ not because they are easy, but because they are hard 03:38, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I added some trans-title under mass testing section.QiuLiming1 (talk) 17:17, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
