Redirects needed
[edit]Could somebody please create redirects for F2 2021 and F3 2021? I cannot create them from an IP. 2001:8003:2312:E301:84A3:F528:9065:6674 (talk) 06:27, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
Driver moves
[edit]I'm probably missing something, but why is the driver moves section not just a simple table (Driver - 2020 Series - 2020 team - 2021 Series - 2021 team - 2021 role) so people can easily scan it rather than a bunch of verbose sentences? I understand they are all like that but why?145.8.180.219 (talk) 10:45, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- MOS:NO-TABLES says that "Prose is preferred in articles as prose allows the presentation of detail and clarification of context, in a way that a table may not." Joseph2302 (talk) 15:20, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

F2R2021 template
[edit]Please can we not use Template:F2R2021 for the drivers' and constructors' championship results? Because it causes us to exceed the templates/transclusions limit. Which is what happened on the 2020 Formula 2 Championship article as well, and has happened on the F1 2021 article a few days ago. Whilst it would be nice to use the template, it's not possible to do this with the current software template restriction. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:00, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Joseph2302: it seems to be working for now. One possible solution would be to subst: the results after each weekend. But I suppose that kind of makes the template redundent.

Driver Academies
[edit]I think that, for a new feeder series fan to better understand the system and concept of young drivers being part of a Formula One team, there should be a column next to the drivers' names stating which driver academy they are a part of. This has been done successfully on the German Wikipedia page and would add more info for new fans of F2 to become acustomed to these assocciations.— Preceding unsigned comment added by AS19Portsmouth (talk • contribs) 23:12, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- We had this discussion three months here:Talk:2020_Formula_2_Championship#Driver_Academies. But I'll repeat my argument: It is not relevant. It does not halp new fans understand anything better becuase being part of a junior team does not impact on the season. To the viewer is makes zero difference. If anything it will confuse new fans because there is no explanation as to why that column is relevant.
SSSB (talk) 09:44, 27 March 2021 (UTC)- I agree. Just because other language wikis want to do stuff, that doesn't mean we should. It isn't relevant to the season's running. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:44, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
Inconsistency in article - qualifying to grid
[edit]Under "sporting changes", it says that the first sprint race grid is formed by "reversing the top ten qualifying positions" - but under "Scoring system" is says that the first sprint race grid is formed by "reversing the top eight qualifiers". Please can this be adjusted for whichever one is wrong. 141.92.129.41 (talk) 11:51, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

It says one Red Bull Ring round was removed but it should say both Red Bull ring rounds were removed 2A02:C7F:A8CD:C700:95C6:88BD:AF80:5DD9 (talk) 16:11, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

Typo in Round 3: Azerbaijan
[edit]The Round 3: Azerbaijan section has "compleded" instead of "completed" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.64.251.237 (talk) 09:44, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
- Fixed.

'FIA' in title
[edit]I understand that F3 2021 has 'FIA' in the title due to the regional F3 variations, but I wonder if this page should have 'FIA' in the title too - it's the *only* F2, yes, but it's also still FIA-backed, like F3. Dan pixelflow (talk) 18:33, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
Actually, maybe it shouldn't. It opens up a can of worms for every motorsport to have it's governing body in the title, including F1 2021 which is not something I think needs doing. Dan pixelflow (talk) 18:51, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Dan pixelflow: the current naming practice is based on Talk:2020 Formula 2 Championship#Requested move 8 June 2020 and more broadly WP:COMMONNAME. I suggest you review both those pages. I don't see grounds to overturn that WP:CONSENSUS, if you disagree with the discussion, I invite you to start a WP:RM discussion.

Pages for Silverstone and Sochi rounds.
[edit]It might be a bit irrelevant but I did not find a reliable place to post this request. The page for the silverstone round is a redirect to the the championship page and hasn't been properly created, even though the page for the later monza round has been created. I would also request the creation of the page for sochi round. Sarthakdangol (talk) 09:34, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
