Removing merge template

There has been a proposed merge template on this article for a long time. I am removing it as I don't see any reason to merge the articles. 2014 Vietnam anti-China protests was part of a reaction to Haiyang Shiyou 981 standoff. Including all of this information in Haiyang Shiyou 981 standoff puts undue weight on the protests as these protests are the reaction in one particular country. I am satisfied with the way both articles are linked to each other and I think that is good enough. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 04:26, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
