League table

[edit]

Does the table on players per league go against principles of Wikipedia? I feel that it is a simple calculation, and not original research, as it is based on referenced data earlier in the article. Similar tables are also found on Euro and World Cup squad pages. Crazydude22 (talk) 09:45, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It violates WP:OR and WP:NOTSTATS. Similar tables existing on other articles is not an argument for inclusion, per WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. GiantSnowman 11:00, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's not necessary. Viewers of this page are interested in who is in what squad. Doing WP:OR in order to break it down according to club teams of the players involved, or club countries is not useful and against policy. C679 11:36, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not aware of any policy prohibiting this. See this discussion. Barryjjoyce (talk) 13:05, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
