Stage 1 standings

[edit]

It was an odd stage, and as such it kind of has an odd result. The Amgen Tour of California homepage lists the 18-man chase group as all being in second place, but the results page individuates ranks. However, it does this by putting the riders in the order they crossed the line with three laps in Santa Rosa to go - Van de Walle and Nibali, second and third on the road, are listed as 15th and 8th. Buuut, they were given the appropriate points in the 'sprints' classification for finishing second and third in the final sprint! Now it seems that's not even the case. How confusing. Don't fall asleep zzzzzz 07:03, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Date format

[edit]

Surely, for an American cycling race, the US date format ("February 16" instead of "16 February") should be used, no? Don't fall asleep zzzzzz 17:45, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
