Why is the DVU represented with one seat when the party scored only 2,7%?

Does Bremen not have the 5 percent threshold like other German States? -- Darthdyas (talk) 18:50, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's a yes and no answer. Bremen, other states and Germany's federal government uses a Mixed member proportional representation which means that people votes for a party, where the 5 percent threshold applies, and a First-past-the-post vote where First-past-the-post 5 percent threshold doesn't apply.
