Thanks, that is one of the best references available. The article confirms the Mobara tornado as violent and highly damaging, but not the death toll. The Grazulis source was misread, fatalities were actually injuries. Sanoma was indeed was the deadliest tornado in Japanese history. I've had difficulty finding sources for the Kyushu event. Hopefully someone can find something, it certainly warrants mention as well. Evolauxia 22:08, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The event occurred at 1:25 p.m. The Meteorological Agency estimated the tornado at F2 intensity.
