If Hink likes it, I'd like to do this as well. Please note that I'm a bit busy at the moment, so the review might take a while. Cheers! -- JavaHurricane 11:27, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the extreme delay, I've been terribly busy. Will do tomorrow. JavaHurricane 15:19, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In the future, I suggest you only start the GA review when you're able to do the review ;) No need to "claim" a review. But I appreciate it whenever you'll get around to it! ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 15:21, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@JavaHurricane:, have you read the article yet by chance? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 02:52, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hurricanehink, yes, I have, though not in depth. Sorry for the delays! I forgot to do this yesterday due to an AN/I discussion, I'll do it today. JavaHurricane 03:07, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Doing now. JavaHurricane 14:39, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, my computer is running into issues, so I will only be able to do a part of the article today. JavaHurricane 16:14, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
JavaHurricane - I see you're still editing a lot of other articles, but not able to review this despite multiple times you would. I'm going to ask for a second reviewer if you don't review it soon. Not to rush you, but you've claimed this GAN for seven days and haven't reviewed it at all. In the future, could you not "claim" my GA nominations if you don't intend to review them within a week? Sorry to be harsh, but I'd like to see this reviewed. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:31, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hurricanehink, actually my computer is not working, and it is admittedly tedious to do a GAN on mobile. I've went through the article and have everything on mind. Just wait a day or so, I'll do it on my mobile. Sorry! JavaHurricane 14:34, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Criteria

[edit]
  • Well-written:
  • Broad in its coverage:
  • it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  • Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  • Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:

Comments

[edit]
  • "south of the equator, and west of 90°E." - excess comma after equator.
  • "making it among the wettest tropical cyclones on record." - change to "one of the wettest"
  • Why is the entire damage value for Indlala linked to USD?
  • Not a problem, but I find it unusual that you have listed the relief efforts in the seasonal summary part, which is appreciable.
  • I felt that there would be too much to include in any of the individual storm articles. I think in the future, we could use a section like this, almost as a mini Floods in Madagascar kind of article, which happen almost every year. Ditto for Floods in India being covered in the season summary. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 13:38, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Météo-France's meteorological office in Réunion (MFR) – the official Regional Specialized Meteorological Center for the South-West Indian Ocean – tracked and named all tropical cyclones from the east coast of Africa to 90° E, and south of the equator." Doesn't Mauritius name the storms? Or have things changed in the last few years? Also, excess space between 90° and E.
  • "From December 2006 to April 2007, a series of floods and storms affected Madagascar, including Bondo, Clovis, Favio, Gamede, Indlala, and Jaya" - unless I am missing something, it should be "flooding storms".
  • "During the second half of November, convection pulsed to the north of Madagascar. The MFR classified a low pressure area as Tropical Disturbance 2 on November 26." Do the sources mention any relationship between the convection and the LPA?

This is the first part. Pinging @Hurricanehink: just in case. JavaHurricane 15:58, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • The entirety of Bondo' MH summary needs to be rewritten.
  • Enok's winds are listed as 115 km/h rather than the usual 110. Any reason why?

I think that is pretty much it! A rather good read, though I think you could have done better Hink, knowing your standards and quality.  On hold for now, pending the addressal of the aforementioned issues. JavaHurricane 16:42, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Java. Yea it might've been worse than my typical article, hope it's up to par now. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 13:38, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hurricanehink, since there's only one wikilink left to be fixed, which I'll do now, i'll pass now. Congratulations! JavaHurricane 09:49, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like the wikilink was already fixed. Passed. JavaHurricane 10:00, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
