Kurma Venkata Reddy Naidu
[edit]wonder why he served about 3 and half months after Raja of Bobbili and before Rajaji came in. looks like a gap there. --CarTick 13:15, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- it is there in the Govt formation section. jan 37 bobbili term officially ends. feb 37 election. in mar 37 congress refuses to form govt cuz they object to governor's veto powers in goi act of 35. in all provinces, governors invite opposition/neutral politicians to form govt. firs srinivasa sastri is invited and he refuses. april 37, kv reddy is invited and forms govt. april-june governor rule by proxy. satyamurthi and others fear repeat of the 26 subbarayan experiment, where same thing happened but justice somehow jumped into the govt. so they convince high command to take power. june linlithgow says brits wont interfere. july congress says ok and takes power. kurmi reddy gets branded as quisling.--Sodabottle (talk) 13:33, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- sorry. i see it now. good work. Apparently, Satyamurthi had a big role as a campaigner and didnt become Chief Minister because the Congress high command liked Rajaji. do you think we should have a section highlighting Satyamurthi's role. --CarTick 13:36, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- I thought about adding it. but only source we have got now is satyamurti's own letters with commentaries. I am hesitant to add the details with that as reference. will see if there is third party confirmation.--Sodabottle (talk) 14:09, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
