Etimology

The initial description is inaccurate; the origin is by association with the ritual tradition, in Argentina and Uruguay, of putting money under the Gnocci dish on the 29th of the month, which after eating, the diner can take for himself; this was seen as a parallel to showing up just for collecting the paycheck. This is specially important because Gnocci can be prepared on any date, but the ritual is only done on the 29th. --Ismael Luceno (talk) 12:47, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
