TR Property Investment Trust is a large British investment trust dedicated to investments in the property sector.[1] Established in 1905, the company is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.[2] It is managed by Thames River Capital LLP.[3] By 2024, Thames River Capital LLP was part of Columbia Threadneedle Investments.[4][5]

History

The company was formed in 1905 as The Trust Union consolidating several smaller investment trust companies. On 5 April 1982, the company changed its investment policy to that of "investing predominately in securities in the property sector". At the same time it changed its name to TR Property Investment Trust PLC.[6]
