Sumeet Kumar (born 15 April 1982) is an Indian playback singer and composer. He is youngest son of the legendary singer and actor Kishore Kumar and actress Leena Chandavarkar.[citation needed] In August 2024 he sing to raise fund for cancer survivors along with singer Shailaja Subramanian.[1]

Early life and career

Sumeet was born on 15 April 1982, to the fourth wife of Kishore Kumar, Leena Chandavarkar. He was five years old when his father died. After his father's death, he was raised by his step-brother Amit Kumar.

At the age of 9, Sumit sang the song "Hum Hain Do Kishore" with his brother, Amit Kumar. He is an introvert and shy person. He has spent much of his teenage under the protective gaze of his mother.[2] In 2004, he lent his voice to the 'Bandhane Lagi' song of 'Naach' (2004) film title track.[3]

He graduates in B.Com from Mithibai College of Arts, Mumbai.
